Make Me Look is in beta. It may change, break, or be withdrawn at short notice, and generated images are sometimes wrong, odd, or unusable. Please do not rely on it for anything that matters.

What the service does

Make Me Look is a Slack app. When you run its command, it reads your Slack profile picture, sends that picture and your prompt to an image model, and offers you the result. Nothing is applied to your Slack profile unless you press the button that does so.

Who may use it

You need a Slack account and permission to install or use apps in that workspace. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live. If you are using it for an employer, you confirm you are allowed to.

Your prompts and images

You are responsible for what you type. Do not use the service to create images that are unlawful, that harass or defame anyone, that sexualise anyone, that impersonate a real person in a misleading way, or that you do not have the right to create. We may refuse or withdraw access where we believe it is being used that way.

You keep whatever rights you have in your original photograph. You may use the generated images for any lawful purpose. We make no claim of ownership over either, and we do not use your images to train models.

Credits and payment

Each generation costs one credit. Reusing a prompt you have already run is free, as no new image is generated.
Each workspace receives 20 credits once, when it first uses the service.
Further credits are sold in packages, priced from $0.03 per credit. Prices are in US dollars and may change; the price shown at the time you buy is the price that applies.
Credits belong to the workspace, not to an individual, and have no cash value.
If a generation fails, its credit is returned automatically.
Credits do not expire while the service runs. If we withdraw the service, we will refund unused purchased credits on request.
Payments are processed by PayPal. We never see or store your card or PayPal login details.

Because credits are consumed immediately on use, purchased credits are non-refundable once spent. If something goes wrong, write to us — we would rather sort it out than argue about it.

Availability

The service is provided as it is, without any warranty. We do not promise it will be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors, and we may change or discontinue it. Where the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Ending it

You can stop at any time by removing the app from your Slack workspace. You can put your original profile picture back with the reset command before you do. We may suspend access if these terms are broken.

Law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law, and the courts of Portugal have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the protections of your own country's law.

Changes

We will update this page when the terms change and move the effective date. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
